چکیده

The use of microflow reactors enabled dramatic improvements in the apparent rates photochemical reactions. However, scaling-up photomicroreactors remains a challenge due to difficulties distributing light and flow all units photomicroreactors. In this work, mass photon transfer limitations an easily scalable micro-structured reactor, aerosol photoreactor, was studied. reactor concept, each droplet works as microreactor. nature interaction enables good distribution droplets. This work paves way efficient industrial use.

Effect of Reactor Heat Transfer Limitations on Co Preferential Oxidation

Our recent studies of CO preferential oxidation (PrOx) identified systemic differences between the characteristic curves of CO conversion for a microchannel reactor with thin-film wall catalyst and conventional packed-bed lab reactors (m-PBR’s). Strong evidence has suggested that the reverse water-gas-shift (r-WGS) side reaction activated by temperature gradients in m-PBR’s is the source of the...

Kinetics of Propane Hydrate Formation in Agitated Reactor: A Mass Transfer Approach

Understanding the kinetics of gas hydrate formation is essential to model and predict the hydrate formation (or dissociation) process. In the present paper, we investigated the formation of pure propane gas hydrate as a former gas. In this regard, several experiments were conducted to measure the rate of hydrate formation under various pressures (410 to 510 kPa) and temperatures (274 K to 277 K...

Overcoming Contextual Limitations on Problem-Solving Transfer

Five experiments investigated transfer from multiple analogs to a superficially dissimilar target problem. When subjects explicitly compared the analogs and then immediately attempted to solve the target problem in the context of a single experiment, transfer was obtained with significant frequency even without a hint that the analogs and target were related. Prehint transfer was sharply reduce...

Energy transfer and the photon lifetime within an aerosol particle.

The theory of enhanced energy transfer within an aerosol particle based on donor coupling to morphological dependent resonances is tested for the first time to our knowledge. The correspondence between theory and experiment is good and allows one to obtain the photon lifetime within the longest-lived resonances. A comparison between this lifetime and the lifetime as obtained by Mie theory is di...
